Helix is proud to announce that its leaders have been named finalists in two major categories in The Urban Developer’s Urban Leader Awards 2025. These awards recognise individuals driving change and shaping the future of Australia’s cities.
Women’s Leadership Award Finalists – Janelle Kerrisk and Morgan Rooney
Helix Group CEO and Co-Founder Janelle Kerrisk and Helix Impact Solutions Director Morgan Rooney have been jointly recognised as finalists in the Women’s Leadership Award. Together, Janelle and Morgan are redefining leadership in the construction industry by proving that building with purpose is not only possible, but also a competitive advantage.
Through Helix Impact Solutions, they have created a model that assists clients with embedding equity, cultural respect and community benefit into every stage of a project. With woman representing the majority of employees, leaders and owners within the Helix Group, Janelle and Morgan are setting a new benchmark for socially accountable construction and practices.
Legal Award Finalist – Jonathan Miliszewski
Helix Director and Head of Dispute Resolution, Jonathan Miliszewski, has been named a finalist in the Legal Award. Jonathan is recognised for his ability to combine commercial excellence with innovation and people-focused leadership.
Jonathan also leads with purpose, having established a pro bono partnership with Sociii Housing, embedding diversity into Helix’s supply chain, and mentoring the next generation of lawyers.
“These finalists are an incredible recognition of our people and our purpose,” said Janelle Kerrisk. “They reflect our belief that leadership is about empowering people, creating impact and challenging our industry to do better.”
The winners of The Urban Developer Urban Leader Awards will be revealed at the highly anticipated Gala Awards Night on Thursday, 30 October 2025, at ILUMIA, Sydney.
