Module 5: New South Wales Government

The NSW Procurement Policy Framework sets out the rules government agencies must follow when buying goods and services. It includes both mandatory requirements and advisory guidance to help agencies make smart, fair, and responsible purchasing decisions. Their social economic objectives are applied through two key policies:

  • Infrastructure Skills Legacy Program
  • Aboriginal Procurement Policy

This module will provide practical steps to plan, deliver and report to comply with these policies.

Learning objectives:

  • Knowledge of relevant policies
  • Define policy objectives, requirements and noncompliance penalties
  • Project teams are able to adequately negotiate and manage contracts that apply Government procurement policies
  • Explain Keller’s processes and tools available to delivering contracts under NSW procurement policies
  • Apply Keller’s processes and tools in practice to tender, negotiate contracts, track targets and report outcomes under the policies
  • Leverage on social impact capability to win future contracts and clients with similar values
