Topic 1: Our objectives

Global strength and local focus

Building the foundations for a sustainable future

Keller is known and respected for fairness, integrity, and honesty. These standards guide our relationships with employees, partners, and communities. We build trust through openness and taking accountability for the impact of our work. Our focus is on creating positive outcomes across society, the economy, and the environment.

Values define how we work and the change we aim to lead

We always behave with integrity towards our customers, colleagues and the communities within which we work

We value, support and protect the rights and dignity of the individual and the diversity of our people – so we are all treated with respect

We are always honest, act with integrity and comply with the law – so everyone trusts us

We act responsibly and respectfully towards the communities we work in because we’re a part of them

Diversity and inclusion

Our people are our greatest strength and we believe that a diverse workforce is important to our long-term success. Keller is committed to being a diverse and inclusive place to work, reflecting the world in which we operate. We encourage all of our people to realise their full potential and deliver exceptional performance.

Our competitive advantage stems from the collective experiences, perspectives and backgrounds of our workforce. Leveraging this diversity provides innovative solutions for an increasingly challenging environment. Our inclusion Commitments bring together what we are doing to ensure a diverse and inclusive workplace at Keller.

By empowering and equipping our leaders to excel in this space

Through employee-led affinity groups and workforce engagement opportunities

By creating an environment of continuous learning and development to support our people in reaching their full potential

To attract, inspire and retain a more diverse group of talent

To drive necessary change in the industry

Through earmarking key global events that represent the breadth of our workforce

Equal opportunities

We employ and promote people based on merit and contribution, ensuring equity so everyone has fair access to opportunities. Our selection process is non‑discriminatory and focuses on skills, knowledge, experience, and personal traits, regardless of gender, race, age, religion, or other protected attributes.

Harassment and unlawful discrimination

We foster a workplace free from harassment and unlawful discrimination, where everyone is treated with dignity and respect. Our people take responsibility for challenging inappropriate behaviour and supporting others, while being mindful of local traditions and cultural differences.

Diversity

Diversity means recognising and valuing visible and non‑visible differences, treating everyone as an individual. It strengthens our performance, and we support equity and diversity through training where needed. We celebrate key events and observances that are important to colleagues around the world such as Lunar New Year, to International Women’s Day, to Global Diversity Month and Diwali.

Modern slavery and human trafficking statement

We expect everyone working with or for us to act lawfully, ethically, and with integrity. Our modern slavery and human trafficking statement outlines the steps we take to ensure these practices do not occur in our business or supply chain.

Social procurement

We believe that supporting diverse suppliers strengthens both our business and the communities in which we operate. Keller is committed to purchasing from local, small and medium enterprises (SME), Indigenous businesses, social enterprises, and female‑owned businesses, reflecting our values of inclusion and equity. Through these partnerships we help create broader opportunities, deliver positive social impact, and contribute to sustainable long‑term success.

Diverse businesses

We connect with local SMEs, Indigenous businesses, social enterprises, and female‑owned businesses by sharing project opportunities and encouraging their involvement.

Memberships

Our connection with organisations like Supply Nation, Social Traders, the Kinaway Chamber of Commerce and NAWIC open doors to diverse local suppliers. These networks help us bring ethical businesses into our projects in ways that match their skills and capacity.

Competitiveness

We give local businesses more chances to be part of our projects, helping to boost economic activity. By encouraging new ideas and smarter ways of working, we keep productivity high and stay competitive.

Training

The industry is facing delays, shortages, and not enough skilled tradespeople. Keller is responding by creating entry‑level positions cadetships and traineeships, while also upskilling our existing workforce. This mix not only strengthens capability but also sparks more innovation across our projects.

Cadets and trainees

We create pathways for people starting out in the industry. Cadetships and traineeships give students and newcomers a chance to step into real project work, try things out, and build experience alongside our teams.

Workforce development

We’re growing capability by keeping our people skilled and adaptable. Training is delivered in ways that suit changing industry needs, with recognised courses helping staff build new strengths. Upskilling supports innovation and ensures the company can take on more, with confidence.

Local community

We put local people and businesses at the centre of our projects. By opening up opportunities for involvement, we help grow skills, jobs, and regional communities. Our approach builds stronger communities, supports local industry, and sparks innovation that lasts well beyond the project itself. We ensure the project benefits flow directly into the community and strengthen long‑term empowerment and economic success.

Delivering sustainable value

This training forms part of our commitment to ongoing development, transparency and learning across the organisation. It supports Keller’s purpose and strategic direction by strengthening our ability to deliver sustainable value in government procurement environments.

These modules are designed to help you:

  • Understand and comply with State and Commonwealth government policy requirements
  • Confidently negotiate and manage contracts governed by government procurement frameworks
  • Mitigate risks and leverage opportunities that come with government contracting

By building this capability, we reinforce Keller’s reputation as a trusted, values-driven contractor capable of delivering excellence on complex, high-impact projects.
